[Bug optimization/5477] gcc 3.0.x reserves a large stack frame, but uses only some parts of it

Hello,

this bug has been waiting for feedback for 3 months. Klaus do you still see this problem with gcc 
3.3? Do you consider the improvement in 3.2 enough to warrant closing the bug? Thanks,
