Tested on debian, with gcc 3.0, 3,2 and 3.3

Here is a short snippet that reproduces the error:

template <class T1, class T2>
typeof(T1() + T2()) add(T1 a, T2 b) { return a+b; }
static double foo = add(3.1, 'c');
