State-Changed-Why:
    The "error reporting routines re-entered" problem. Fixed
    in 3.2.2, 3.3 and 3.4.
    
    3.4 even accepts the code, which previous versions did not
    since they parsed the variable declaration as a function
    declaration and failed doing so.
