Summary: using a nested namespace
Product: gcc
Version: 3.4
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: c++
AssignedTo: unassigned at gcc dot gnu dot org
ReportedBy: hans dot utz at informatik dot uni-ulm dot de
CC: gcc-bugs at gcc dot gnu dot org
GCC host triplet: i686-pc-linux-gnu
GCC target triplet: i686-pc-linux-gnu
I'm not sure whether this is legal c++. The following code compiles with earlier
g++ versions (tried with 2.95.3 and 3.2.1) but fails with 3.4:
===
namespace foo {
namespace bar {
enum { you };
}
}
using foo::bar;
int main(int, char **) { return bar::you; }
====
3.4 reports:
using.cpp:7: error: namespace `foo::bar' not allowed in using-declaration
