           Summary: confusing error message in specialized template (with
                    two-stage name lookup)
           Product: gcc
           Version: 3.4
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Keywords: diagnostic
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: c++
        AssignedTo: unassigned at gcc dot gnu dot org
        ReportedBy: pinskia at physics dot uc dot edu
                CC: gcc-bugs at gcc dot gnu dot org

Compile this and look at the error message (from PR 10560):
template <int> struct X {
    void foo () {
      bar();
    }
};
pr10560.cc: In member function `void X<<anonymous> >::foo()':

What is this X<<anonymous> > stuff when it is definitely in X<int>.
