gcc-3.2.3 does not issue warnings on "int a = a + 1"

Ok, sorry for posting this bug twice on the gcc.gnu.org gnats web 
interface. The web interface did not seem to accept my request, so I 
tried again ... perhaps the gnats web interface has some issues with the 
Mozilla browser?
