AIX PPC
>Description:
The Darwin version of gcc 3.x has a -mnatural-align that allows doubles to be aligned to 8 bytes as is natural to the PPC architecture. Could this same option be expanded to include the AIX system.

I am doing a port of the OpenOffice.org (unpaid). I would like this option so that I do not have to hack up a lot of OOo code puting in alignment code.

This would also be a performance enhancement for the PPC architectute.
