>Description:
When compiling to .class files, I get:
internal compiler error: in generate_bytecode_conditional, at java/jcf-write.c:1359

It works fine when compiling to native code.

; cat Foo.java
public class Foo {
    private void f(long j) {
        boolean x = (1 << j) != 0;
    }
}

; gcj -C Foo.java
Foo.java: In class `Foo':
Foo.java: In method `Foo.f(long)':
Foo.java:3: internal compiler error: in generate_bytecode_conditional, at java/jcf-write.c:1359
