powerpc-linux-gnu and sparc-sun-solaris2.8 bootstraps completed 
successfully here and building glibc on powerpc-linux-gnu with the now 
compiler showed no problems.

So things look good :-)

Back to track the extreme slowdown regression with qt3/kde3 on 
powerpc-linux-gnu...
