gcc 3.0.4 build failed on solaris 2.6

hmm okay i should of used my eyes and read your bug report properly
no -liconv on link line should of been a give away that what i said was 
useless.

Maybe you do have a proper bug after all ... i am guessing configure isnt 
reading your system quite right ... but its only a guess. - if adding 
-liconv to the link line works, probably should work out why its not adding 
it already.
