GCC 3.1 & "unused" attribute behavior change wrt. -Wxx flags?

OK, that's a program bug then. Thanks. What would the "unused" attribute
to the type of msg (a parameter in that case) mean otherwise?

FYI, that was pciutils-2.1.9/lib/access.c (pci_null_debug) + others, when
compiled with -Wall -W -Wno-parentheses -Wstrict-prototypes -Werror.
