    I can not reproduce with current sources on the gcc 3.0.x
    CVS branch, nor with current sources on the gcc CVS trunk.
    
    I can reproduce with the 2001-06-04 snapshot.  There is
    an infinite recursion in canon_rtx.  This is the same
    problem addressed in PR 3783.  This was fixed with an
    alias.c/flow.c patch checked in about a week ago.  See
    PR 3783 for more info.
