embedded mips, C++, and gcc 3.0.1

Hi,

libstdc++-v3 has what I think is a minor problem in 
libstdc++-v3/config/cpu/mips/atomicity.h.  This file
unconditionally includes <sgidefs.h> which is not
available on embedded targets using gcc/newlib.

What is it really being used for?  I can't see
why it is there and why the code can't just use
gcc predefines for mips ISA level.
