insn ICE with Linux 2.4.12

There seems to be an internal compiler error when compiling Linux 2.4.12
with gcc 3.0.1.
Error message:

The release of GCC has been compiled and packaged by Johan Petersson
<spock@trilithium.com> as gcc-3.0.1-3.i586.rpm. It can be found at
http://www.trilithium.com/software/misc/ . The packager has been
informed.
