ARM platform: Error - Can not represent OFFSET_IMM8 relocation

Hello, 

I m trying to cross-compile the openh323 stack for an armv4l processor with 
the arm-toolchain  installed on my pc but the compilation stops when it build 
the code.o from code.c because of th following error:

arm-linux-gcc -ansi -Igsm/inc -DWAV49 -DNeedFunctionPrototypes=1 -O2 -DNDEBUG 
 -c gsm/src/code.c -o /root/INVENTEL_SDK/openh323/lib/obj_linux_x86_r/code.o

and the error happenned  whether I use make , make all or make opt 

What can I do to avoid the problem ? 
or Can I build the openh323 stack without the GSM part ???and How ?
