Synopsis: Need something to #ifdef on when -pedantic/-pedantic-errors

    We've decided that implementing this is not a good idea.
    In general, we want it to be the case that the compiler's
    output is not affected by warning switches, and predefining
    a macro based on them allows people to do that.
