GCC 2.96 is not a release of GCC issued by the FSF.  Perhaps you're
talking about the release of GCC that is part of Red Hat Linux?  In
this case, the correct procedure to report bugs is through
bugzilla.redhat.com.  But you may want to get the latest updates of
GCC for Red Hat Linux first.

If the above is all wrong, please submit your bug report through
Gnats, as per the bug reporting instructions at gcc.gnu.org/bugs.html
