Linux Mandrake 7.1 (out of box), on two machines Dell XPS P133c pentium 133Mhz, Custom box Supermicro P6SBU motherboard, 128Mb, Pentium II 400Mhz

test.c compiles ok, but 
the statement 'return ch;' causes segmentation fault for the ch=0x20000000. The values 0x80000000 and 0x2000 work ok. The problems seem to involve bits 16-30.

The problem exists in code generated by all versions of compiler I've entered in the Release field.
