Fascinating - as far as I know RedHat 7.1 comes with a variant of the
0.5.25 g77.

Did you install another version of the compiler "on top of" Red Hat 7.1
?

Or are you using their compiler-as-shipped ?

In the last case, you'll have to send a bug report to their bug
reporting system (see http://www.redhat.com on how to do this).

In the first case, we need the complete source that leads to the failure
you mention (see "Bugs: Reporting ..." on our home page,
http://gcc.gnu.org ) or try out a newer version of the compiler, i.e.
gcc/g77-3.0.
