Of course I have to go with a simple make (no bootstrap)
and with the c-compiler only. like this
../gcc-3.0/configure --host=hppa64-hp-hpux11.00
-prefix=/opt/FREE-SOFTWARE/gcc-3.0-ELF --enable-languages=c --with-gnu-as
--with-gnu-ld --enable-version-specific-runtime-libs
(binutils are at /opt/FREE-SOFTWARE/gcc-3.0-ELF and configured for ELF)
Still something is wrong (error remains):
A simple make tries to bootstrap (invocation of xgcc)
but I thought building the ELF version is like building a cross-compiler
(howto force thgis beahviour?)
