glibc-2.2.3+nis patch, gcc-2.95.4 && gcc-3.0 CVS

Hi,

I am surprised that you managed to build this at all. 
I just posted a PR (c/3038) regarding the build failure of
glibc-2.2.3's linuxthreads module. (gcc 20010528, on unstable Debian,
i586).
