the problem can be boiled down to the four lines

namespace A {};
namespace B { using namespace A; }
namespace A { using namespace B; }
void f() { using namespace B; }

that still crash g++ 3.0. It's on an IRIX 6.5 box in my case,
so the problem doesn't seem to be target specific.

The compiler is probably running into an infinite loop (guessing from
the compile time - in addition the memory usage goes way up before I get
the ICE).
