abort in verify_local_live_at_start on ARM

The attached file (from glibc) crashes an arm-linux compiler built from the 
current CVS sources:

$ ./cc1 -O2 k_standard.i
 vprintf getchar getc_unlocked getchar_unlocked putchar fputc_unlocked putc_unlocked putchar_unlocked getline feof_unlocked ferror_unlocked __kernel_standard
