Bug in compiling 8139too kernel driver

Hi
I'm running RedHat 7.0 with kernel 2.4.6 on a Pentium III 733 system. I
recently upgraded gcc to version 3.0.2 (I downloaded the source and compiled
it). I used all the default options in making it.
I then downloaded and tried to compile the kernel 2.4.16. I could not
compile the 8139too.c file for the Realtek 8139 Too driver (built into the
kernel or module). I downloaded the next kernel (2.4.17) and had the same
problem. Then I downloaded the latest source for the driver from
http://sourceforge.net/projects/gkernel/. I edited the Makefile to include
the correct directory, and tried to make the driver. But it also failed.
In the attached file is the version of gcc in a text file, all the output of
the make command in another file, and the third file is the preprocessed
file.
I look forward to any solution on how I can remedy this.
Many thanks
Louis van Dyk
