State-Changed-Why:
    With gcc version 3.0.3 20011201 (prerelease), the error
    is reproduced with:
    g++ -O3 -mcpu=athlon -march=athlon -ffast-math -c DSOp.cpp
    
    If -ffast-math is omitted the error does not occur.
    
    With gcc version 3.1 20011121 (experimental),
    the error does not occur
