    This bug is fixed in gcc 3.0 but it won't be fixed in
    gcc 2.95.  gcc 3.0 and 2.95 differ significantly, so
    porting fixes back to 2.95 is difficult.  Now the effort
    is focused on the 3.0 branch and the main branch.
