With yesterdays cvs source for the 3.0 branch, I see hundreds of FAILs
because std::errno is undefined:
Executing on host: /xxx/gnu/gcc-3.0/objdir/gcc/testsuite/../g++ -B/xxx/gnu/gcc-3.0/objdir/gcc/testsuite/../ /xxx/gnu/gcc-3.0/gcc/testsuite/g++.dg/special/conpr-1.C -nostdinc++ -I/xxx/gnu/gcc-3.0/objdir/hppa1.1-hp-hpux10.20//libstdc++-v3/include -I/xxx/gnu/gcc-3.0/libstdc++-v3/include/std -I/xxx/gnu/gcc-3.0/libstdc++-v3/include/c_std -I/xxx/gnu/gcc-3.0/libstdc++-v3/include -I/xxx/gnu/gcc-3.0/libstdc++-v3/libsupc++ -I/xxx/gnu/gcc-3.0/libstdc++-v3/libio -I/xxx/gnu/gcc-3.0/libstdc++-v3/testsuite -I/xxx/gnu/gcc-3.0/libstdc++-v3/include/backward -I/xxx/gnu/gcc-3.0/libstdc++-v3/include/ext -fmessage-length=0 -L/xxx/gnu/gcc-3.0/objdir/hppa1.1-hp-hpux10.20//libstdc++-v3/src/.libs -L/xxx/gnu/gcc-3.0/objdir/hppa1.1-hp-hpux10.20//libiberty -lm -fPIC -o ./a.out (timeout = -1)

FAIL: g++.dg/special/conpr-1.C execution test
The origin of the undefined reference comes from locale-inst.o. It
appears to come from c_std/bits/std_cerrno.h:
...
# 1 "../../../../libstdc++-v3/include/c_std/bits/std_cerrno.h" 1 3
# 40 "../../../../libstdc++-v3/include/c_std/bits/std_cerrno.h" 3
# 1 "/xxx/gnu/gcc-3.0/objdir/gcc/include/errno.h" 1 3
# 41 "../../../../libstdc++-v3/include/c_std/bits/std_cerrno.h" 2 3
namespace std
{
extern "C" int errno;
}
Previously,
...
# 9 "/xxx/gnu/gcc-3.0/objdir/gcc/include/errno.h" 3
extern int errno;
# 1 "/usr/include/sys/errno.h" 1 3
# 13 "/usr/include/sys/errno.h" 3
# 1 "/usr/include/sys/stdsyms.h" 1 3
# 14 "/usr/include/sys/errno.h" 2 3
# 22 "/usr/include/sys/errno.h" 3
extern "C" {
extern int errno;
}
Any clues why we get an undefined reference?
Dave
