Oh.  Then, sparcv9 is not what you want.  That will get you a 64-bit
compiler by default, IIRC.

If you want a 32-bit compiler by default, you'll have to uncomment a
few lines in gcc/config.gcc, right after:

# At the moment, 32-to-64 cross compilation doesn't work.
