gcc on Sparc Solaris 7.0

Hi,

	I have E250 with Solaris SunOS 5.7 Generic 106541-12  May 2000
(7_Recommended patch). I tried to install gcc-2.95.2.tar but I don't have
any compiler on my machine, so I got the binary version from sunfreeware
gcc-2.95.2-sol7-sparc-local. The installation was successful, but I cannot
compile anything. I noted that files under /usr/ccs/bin and lib are missing.


This is the message I received:

gcc print.c

gcc: installation problem, cannot exec `as': No such file or directory.

Actually this file wasn't installed and I already tried to install different
version of gcc binary and I still have the same problem even the result is
success installation. Is this problem related with my last path.
