sparc-sun-solaris2.6 bootstrap failure

The regression checked detects a different bootstrap failure, so I thought
I'd report this.

The tree seems to be rather unstable recently -- e.g., while trying to
generate a minimal bug report for a different failure I came across
several further bugs. :-(
