Hallo,
ÃÂ
I am running Suse-Linux V6.3 with gcc V2.91.66
installed on a pc (with AMD 600 processor).
ÃÂ
Having downloaded gcc V2.95.2 successfully the
configuration phase ("configure --enable-version-specific-runtime-libs") has
run without errors. Running the building phase ("make bootstrap") results in the
error:
ÃÂ
. . Bootstrapping the compiler make[1]:
Entering directory `/gcc_obj_2.95.2/gccô make CC="gcc" libdir=/usr/local/lib
LANGUAGES="c " make[2]: Entering directory `/gcc_obj_2.95.2/gccô gperf -L
C -F ô, 0, 0ô-p -j1 -i 1 -g -o -t -G -N is_reservered_word \ àÃÂ
-k1,3,$ /gcc_src_2.95.2/gcc/c-parse.gperf >tmp-gperf.h /bin/sh: gperf:
command not found . .
ÃÂ
And indeed a program called "gperf"ÃÂ doesn't
exist on the pc. On the othher hand the description of the building phase says
that calling "make bootstrap" will build all host
tools (including texinfo, bison, gperf) necessary to build the
compiler.
ÃÂ
What have I to do for generating "gperf"
?

Please send your answer to:ÃÂ ÃÂ m.grindel@docustore.de

Kind regards,
