string::reserve() is not implemented

Hello !

I have big problems in porting an existing C++ library to Linux with gcc
2.95.

The string::reserve() method is used very often,
but is not implemented in 'bastring.h'

I know, it's not a must to have it implemented, but
How can I solve that problem ??
