compiling error

Dear Sir,
  I am using linux mandrake 7.1, when i am trying to compile and link one fo 
the products, i got an error message that gcc installation error -cc1plus 
file OR directory not found, i trid with other products i got the same 
message, so i decided to reinstall gcc by downloading gcc 2.95 from your 
site and i followed the steps to build and install the compiler, i did the 
installation without error, but when i try to recompile the same product i 
got the same error message when running make utility.
pls if you can help me find the reason.

note i did not change the default installaion
