Hi!
We would like to compile source with STL using the g++ compiler on LINUX.
We faced the following in-compability problem:
the attached source was successfully compiled with the gcc version
egcs-2.91.66 19990314/Linux (egcs-1.1.2 release).
With any other version of g++ compiler (2.8.1, 2.7.2.3, 2.95, 2.95.2) we
receive compilation errors.
The possible workaround for the compiler versions 2.95 and 2.95.2 is to use
the header files from the version 2.91.66 :
g++ -ansi -|/usr/include/g++-2 check.cpp .
What a version of g++ compiler can we use with STL?
See in attachment:
1. the small example string.tar
Open with
tar -xvf strings.tar
Compile with:
g++ -ansi check.cpp
2. log file with compilation errors
Thanks,
Genia. <<strings.ZIP>> <<log.ZIP>>
