Go ahead and install both.  I'll sort it out later.  Thanks!

(I think I'll make the machine test as in:

  test_text = "#if /* MACH_TEST: */ "
                    "defined( i386 ) "
                " || defined( sparc ) /*\n"
              " end_of_mach_testing */";

then use sed to remove these two lines, much like I use
sed to remove the mod times from the diff.  That way,
the test will only fail when we don't have a defined entry
for some platform....
