It is supposed to be. That is not the same as actually being :-).
Actually, the "machine_name" is guaranteed to be different.
I should probably suppress that one somehow.

That may wind up requiring gray matter interpretation, as little
as I like relying on it. I am certainly open to suggestions on
how to minimize the requirement :)

Obviously, you did not run on an i86 box :)
I'll look at the others as soon as I can.
(Likely by doing a fresh pull and running my
own tests again. I may have some stale data
lying around...)
