Internal compiler error in `scan_region'

Hello,

I was trying to install MySQL ver. 3.22 and received the following error:

sql_acl.cc:1367: Internal compiler error in `scan_region', at except.c:2566
Please submit a full bug report.

I recently installed GNU C++ ver. 2.95 on an alpha-dec-osf4.0d

I'm not sure what other information you need; please contact me with any
