The program shown below works with 2.8.1. If you think this is not
a bug please advice what to do.
gcc-2.95.2 was built on a Solaris 2.5.1 platform. Mondial is a solrais
2.6 machine and this is where the following two steps were executed.
mondial:linker> /usr/local/gnu/gcc-2.95.2/bin/gcc -fPIC -c -o Foo.o
Foo.cpp
mondial:linker> /usr/local/gnu/gcc-2.95.2/bin/gcc -shared -symbolic
-fPIC Foo.o -lc
ld: warning: option -d appears more than once, first setting taken
Undefined first referenced
symbol in file
ostream::operator<<(ostream &(*)(ostream &))Foo.o
endl(ostream &) Foo.o
cerr Foo.o
ostream::operator<<(char const *) Foo.o
string_char_traits<char>::copy(char *, char const *, unsigned int)Foo.o
ld: warning: Symbol referencing errors
-------------- Foo.cpp

#include <string>
class VString
{
public:
VString() {};
private:
string String;
};
