Dear gcc folks,

I encountered an internal compiler error when trying to compile the
attached (preprocessed) file with:

% gcc --save-temps -O3 -funroll-all-loops -c muladd.i
gcc: Internal compiler error: program cc1 got fatal signal 9

I am using:

% gcc --version
2.95.2

(The RPM was gcc-2.95.2-1g, from the LinuxPPC 2000 distribution.)

I am running LinuxPPC 2000, with a 2.2.12 kernel, on a (1999) Macintosh
PowerBook G3 (PowerPC 750, 192MB of RAM).

Thanks! Let me know if there's any other information I can provide!

Cordially,
Steven G. Johnson

PS. The error does not occur on a RedHat 5.2/Pentium-II system running
gcc-2.95.2, so it seems to be a PowerPC-specific problem.

PPS. This file is part of a self-optimizing matrix (BLAS) library called
ATLAS (www.netlib.org/atlas) if anyone cares.
