egcs compiler bug report

I attach a pre-processed file which gives an internal compiler error
on RedHat Linux 6.1 using the shipped compiler egcs-2.91.66, and the
shipped kernel 2.2.12. I have verified that another similarly
configured machine gives the same result, and an older egcs-2.90.27
give multiple errors including un-implemented features.
The file is usually compiled in its un-pre-processed form using the
following commandline:-
c++ -DPACKAGE=\"Atlas\" -DVERSION=\"0.2.0\" -DHAVE_CASSERT=1 -DHAVE_CSTDARG=1 -DHAVE_CSTDIO=1 -DHAVE_IOSTREAM=1 -DHAVE_LIST=1 -DHAVE_MAP=1 -DHAVE_CSTDLIB=1 -DHAVE_CSTRING=1 -DHAVE_STRING=1 -DHAVE_VECTOR=1 -DHAVE_LIBZ=1 -DHAVE_ZLIB_H=1 -DHAVE_LIBBZ2=1 -DHAVE_BZLIB_H=1 -I. -I. -g -O2 -Wp,-MD,.deps/Codec.pp -c -fPIC -DPIC Codec.cc -o .libs/Codec.lo
and gives this error:-
Codec.h: In instantiation of `::Atlas::Stream::::Atlas::Stream::Factory<::Atlas::Stream::Codec>':
Codec.h:55: instantiated from here
In file included from Codec.cc:5:
Codec.h:55: Internal compiler error.
The contents of Codec.h are included in the pre-processed copy of Codex.cc
attached. I can confirm that the same error is reported if the pre-processed
copy is compiled using the following commandline:-
g++ -c Codex.cc
The code in question was made available to me under the terms of
the LGPL. The attachment is compressed as your mail server initially rejected
my first attempt to send the file.
