TI C30/C40/C4x target name

There is a naming confusion over the targets for the 
TI C3x and C4x DSPs between at least binutils and gcc.

binutils uses c30-* and tic30-* for this family.
gcc uses c4x-* for this family.

Support has not been merged into gdb yet.

What is the best solution?

+ rename the support in either gcc or binutils?

+ add aliases to both gcc and binutils so c30, tic30, 
  and c4x are the same?

I don't know if this is an issue but the patches
distributed by Michael Hayes refer to this target as c4x-*.
This community has a newlib patch using that target name
as well.
