Thanks for your bug report. I can't reproduce this; on my system, the
linker says

/tmp/ccnJAQ7f.o: In function `main':
/tmp/ccnJAQ7f.o(.text+0xe): undefined reference to `cow_n::cow_t<x, y>::cow_t(void)'

I've been using GNU ld version 2.9.5 (with BFD 2.9.5.0.41); I
recommend to update the linker.
