Attached are the output from configure and make as "conf.out" and
"make.out"

I get the following error when trying to build gcc-2.95.2 with gcc-2.95:

gcc -c -DIN_GCC -g -O2 -W -Wall -I. -I.. -I. -I./..
-I./../config -I./../../include stc.c
/tmp/cciDHvzK.s: Assembler messages:

gcc: Internal compiler error: program as got fatal signal 11

make[1]: *** [f771] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/gcc-2.95.2/gcc'
make: *** [all-gcc] Error 2

Here is my gcc version info:
[rjschwei@cheetah rjschwei]$ gcc -v
Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-redhat-linux/2.95/specs
gcc version 2.95 19990728 (release)

I installed gcc on the system using the attached rpm
"gcc-2.95-4.i686.rpm", "cpp-2.95-4.i686.rpm" this was downloaded from
" ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/contrib/libc6/i686/ " I tried to attach the
rpms but the mail gets too large, thus I had to skip this.

My system information:

RedHat 6.2 system with kernel upgraded to "2.2.16-3" (appropriate kernel
headers are installed), using "ncurses-5.0-11" and "libstdc++-2.95-4".

Hardware:

- Dual PII 450MHz Tyan S1832DL Tiger 100 Mother board
- 3D labs Oxygen PCI graphics card
- Logitech First Mouse 3 Buttons
- Generic Ethernet car made by Artisoft
- Fujitsu EIDE 13GB hard drive
- Memorex MX300 Ergonomic key board
- Pacific Digital Corp PDC428ei CD-ReWriter
- 3Com 56K Modem
- 128 MB 16x64 PC100 DIMM (Mfgr. Kingston)

Hope this is sufficient info, any help and/or fix is appreciated.

Thanks,
Robert
