Porting

Hi,
  At the risk of sounding stupid....
  I am trying to port the compiler to a new arch..
  Where could I find some help and resources regarding
  porting (other than the GCC manuals).Preferably something
  which gives a deep technical insight into GCC data structures
  and working.A description of the source tree would also help.
  Any help in this regard would be deeply appreciated.
