I don't know this book, and I could not find it on amazon.com. What I
found was C++ from Scratch (Jesse Liberty)

For the book I've mentioned, a reviewer on amazon.com said that the
included compiler crashes the system. So I guess the problem is that
the included compiler just does not work. You did not mention what
compiler, neither did the reviewer - how are we supposed to know?
