debugging info broken (at least on irix?)

Hi,

I have strange problems with debugging an object
generated by bleeding-edge g++

Having built with -g
I can say, e.g. 
l 295
which displays line 295

but saying 
b 295
I get 
No line 295 in file ....

I seems to work with a trivial 4 liner
but not with a large application.

Everything has been rebuilt with recent g++
