Solaris Intel stdarg problem

A follow up to my previous post. The suggestion I made for fixing the 
stdarg.h problem is not correct. I cannot see how to resolve this 
problem at this time. But here is a small example program that 
exhibits the problem behavior but is okay under Sparc Solaris and 
others:
