C++ regression: constructors of static class variables not called

I know think it's a FreeBSD bug, as it appears with plain GCC 2.95.2
and GCC-current-CVS, but not with GCC 2.95.2 as shipped with FreeBSD 4.1.

I filed a FreeBSD bug report with highest priority

hopefully someone will have a look soon.
