GCC cross compile fail under FreeBSD 4.1

I don't know if this is a bug per-se but:

I built BINUTILS 2.10 under freebsd 4.1

./configure --prefix=/usr/local/xdev --target=i386-unknown-gnu
gmake all install

worked fine. Then I unzipped GCC 2.95.2

./configure --prefix=/usr/local/xdev --target=i386-unknown-gnu
gmake LANGUAGES="c"

I have included a paste of the snippet of where it died. Please respond to
