Bootstrap failure in cpplib.c - mips-sgi-irix6.5

I no longer get this error with a clean source tree.

Instead I get many many preprocessor warnings and errors like

In file included from /usr/include/sys/types.h:40,
                 from /usr/include/sys/param.h:39:
/usr/include/sys/pthread.h:2:23: internal error: empty object-like macro
went through full #define

and

/exd4/billingd/src/egcs-20000424/gcc/config/mips/xm-mips.h:23:15: warning:
The C standard requires
whitespace after #define FALSE

Too many too debug remotely. Will have to wait until I am back in the
office.
